Job Description

Job Summary If you're compassionate, patient and like working with special needs, this job may be for you. We're looking for help with our quadriplegic son who was recently in a bad accident is now home full-time. He needs assistance with all ADL's and for the next 8 weeks, will be bedridden while casted. Ian is a very social young man with cerebral palsy and some developmental delays. Although he's wheelchair bound, it doesn't slow him down. He's verbal, very outgoing and for the most part, always has a smile on his face. He LOVES music and sports, but most of all, people. If you think you'd like to hang out while helping with all his daily living needs, please apply. Once we review we'll set up and interview. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, patient behavior, and overall condition; report changes promptly Prepare meals and assist with meal consumption when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning in his room. Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to safely transfer residents with mobility challenges Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being and social engagement Skills Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. Strong patient observation skills with the ability to recognize changes in health status Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with client and family. Ability to work independently while following detailed care plans and protocols Compassionate demeanor combined with energetic motivation to improve clients' daily lives Basic cooking skills for meal preparation.
Pay:
$19.00 - $23.00 per hour
