Description Rapha Global Care, Inc. is a DDA provider dedicated to delivering high-quality care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities throughout Central Maryland, including Baltimore County, Baltimore City, Howard County, Anne Arundel County, and Harford County. We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and reliable female Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Community Development Services (CDS) for an individual in the Dundalk, Maryland area . This is a part-time position (approximately 20 hours per week) that requires someone who enjoys being active in the community and helping individuals build independence through meaningful activities and experiences. The ideal candidate will be comfortable driving throughout the community, encouraging participation in social and recreational activities, and supporting educational and employment goals. A reliable personal vehicle is required , as transportation is a major component of this position. Rapha Global Care provides weekly reimbursement for gas and mileage ($40 per week, with additional reimbursement based on hours worked). Responsibilities As a Community Development Services DSP, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Providing one-on-one support to an individual in community-based settings Transporting the individual safely to community activities, appointments, and educational programs using your personal vehicle Supporting participation in community engagement and recreational activities Assisting with exploring job interests, career opportunities, and employment readiness Providing support while attending GED classes and encouraging educational success Helping the individual develop independence, confidence, communication, and social skills Encouraging participation in volunteer opportunities and other meaningful community experiences Assisting with budgeting, money management, and other life skills as appropriate Building a positive, respectful, and encouraging relationship with the individual Documenting daily activities, progress, and outcomes Following all agency policies, DDA regulations, and required documentation standards Participating in required trainings and maintaining all required certifications Qualifications The ideal candidate will have: Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred High school diploma or GED Female applicant preferred Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Reliable personal vehicle with current insurance (required) Comfortable driving throughout the Dundalk and surrounding communities Ability to pass a Maryland state background check Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Energetic, patient, compassionate, and dependable Excellent time management and organizational skills CMT, CPR/First Aid, MANDT, and DDA Core Training certifications are required Schedule Part-time Approximately 20 hours per week Flexible weekday schedule based on the individual's needs and community activities Benefits Weekly gas and mileage reimbursement ( $40 per week , with higher reimbursement based on hours worked) Ongoing professional development and training opportunities Supportive and collaborative team environment Opportunity to make a lasting impact in the life of an individual and their community At Rapha Global Care, Inc., we are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
