This energetic and compassionate position offers the opportunity to provide personalized care, promote positive behavior, and foster community engagement. You will be a trusted supporter, assisting with daily activities, medication management, and communication to ensure each individual's well-being and growth. Responsibilities Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities by assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors. Support individuals in social skills development, communication (including American Sign Language if applicable), and community participation. Collect and document data related to progress, behavior patterns, and health status to inform care plans. Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and maintain detailed medication records. Drive clients to appointments, activities, or community outings safely and responsibly. Collaborate with families, behavioral health professionals, educators, and social workers to develop personalized care plans that meet each individual's unique needs. Qualifications Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs is highly preferred. Knowledge of special education principles and behavior management techniques. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals of diverse abilities and support teams. Ability to assist with ADLs and provide caregiving support in home or community settings. Valid driver's license and safe driving record for transportation responsibilities. Familiarity with data collection methods related to health or behavioral progress. Certification or experience in medication administration is a plus but not required; training will be provided if necessary.
