In this vital role, you'll provide compassionate assistance with daily activities, promote independence, and foster a safe and supportive environment. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure comfort and dignity. Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols while maintaining accurate documentation. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, utilizing memory care techniques and behavior management strategies. Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling equipment to ensure safe transfers and mobility support. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary plans while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen area. Engage residents in social activities, recreational programs, and community outings to promote socialization and mental well-being. Requirements Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in assisted living environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of senior care practices including geriatrics, Alzheimer's care, dementia management, and memory care is essential. Certification or experience in CPR, First Aid, medication administration, and emergency response procedures is required. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely while adhering to safety protocols. Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems for documentation is advantageous. Valid driver's license for transportation duties or community outings is a plus.
