Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Job Coach to inspire and empower individuals on their journey toward meaningful employment. In this role, you will serve as a mentor, trainer, and motivator, guiding clients through personalized development plans that enhance their skills, confidence, and independence. Responsibilities Develop tailored coaching plans that align with each client's strengths, interests, and goals Deliver engaging training sessions focused on essential job skills, communication, and workplace etiquette Provide ongoing support and encouragement to boost clients' confidence and resilience Conduct assessments of clients' abilities in areas such as physiology, body mechanics, and anatomy to inform personalized strategies Facilitate group fitness activities or sports coaching sessions to promote teamwork, physical health, and well-being Collaborate with employers, community organizations, and support teams to identify suitable job opportunities Track progress through detailed documentation and adjust coaching methods accordingly to maximize success Requirements Proven experience in teaching or coaching roles, preferably within health clubs, gyms, or sports environments Strong knowledge of physiology, body mechanics, anatomy, and program design for diverse populations Ability to lead group fitness sessions or sports coaching activities with enthusiasm and professionalism Excellent communication skills to motivate and engage clients of varying backgrounds Familiarity with personal training techniques and health promotion strategies Demonstrated understanding of workplace expectations and employment readiness skills Certification or experience in group fitness instruction or personal training is highly desirable Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Rehabilitation, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field preferred. Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, or related populations preferred. Strong interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple responsibilities. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred. Ability to pass all required background checks and screenings. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Supported Employment, Vocational Rehabilitation, or Employment Services. Knowledge of person-centered planning and community integration principles. Certification as a Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) is a plus. Join us in creating impactful change!
