This role is ideal for a compassionate, hands‑on caregiver who thrives in a fast‑paced clinical environment and enjoys supporting patients of all ages through their rehabilitation journey. Position Summary The Rehab Aide is a multi‑skilled healthcare support professional who assists licensed Occupational, Physical, and Speech‑Language Pathologists, as well as Registered Nurses, in providing high‑quality patient care. This role includes both direct and indirect patient care in inpatient and outpatient settings. "The Rehab Aide is a multi-skilled worker who provides a wide range of patient care activities which support nursing and rehabilitative services." Key Responsibilities Direct Patient Care (10%) Support therapists, therapy assistants, and nurses in delivering hands‑on care. Assist with Treatment Activities (60%) Prepare, organize, and maintain treatment areas; assist with therapeutic activities under supervision. Documentation (10%) Complete accurate written documentation of care provided. Clerical Support (5%) Assist with inventory tracking, ordering, billing, scheduling, and departmental data reports. Reception Duties (5%) Answer phones, retrieve messages, and direct callers appropriately. Equipment Operation & Safety (10%) Safely operate patient‑care equipment and perform routine safety checks.
Minimum Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma required. Completion of a Nursing Assistant Program or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience:
At least one year of patient care experience , ideally in a medical center setting. Experience in PT, OT, nursing, or home health is preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Maryland CNA certification preferred Current BLS/CPR certification required
Skills & Abilities:
