Job Description

Direct Support Professional (DSP)
  • Millersville, MD Hands of Hope Services, Inc.
, a licensed DDA provider, is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support a young gentleman in Millersville, Maryland .
SCHEDULE
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 9am
  • 5pm Saturdays 9am
  • 3pm Sundays 9am
  • 4pm
Total Hours:
37 hours per week Requirements (MUST
MEET ALL
) Must be a Driver with a valid Driver's License Must have reliable transportation and auto insurance Must have a valid CMT (Certified Medication Technician) certification Must be at least 18 years old (valid ID required) Must have: A Bachelor's degree , OR At least 1 year of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities Must be CPR & First Aid certified Must complete all DDA-required trainings prior to service delivery Key Responsibilities Support individual participation in community activities and outings Assist with behavior management and implementation of the Person-Centered Plan (PCP) Provide personal care support , including toileting assistance Teach and support: Money management Travel training Self-help and independent living skills Promote community integration and inclusion Assist with self-advocacy activities and employment exploration Provide safe and reliable transportation to and from activities Maintain accurate documentation and activity logs (Therap-ready) Ideal Candidate Patient, dependable, and compassionate Strong communication and documentation skills Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities Able to manage behaviors professionally and safely Passionate about empowering individuals to live independently How to Apply
