Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) FEMALE to join our team in Waldorf, MD, Monday to Friday, from 7:00am - 3:00pm. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and support to individuals with disabilities, helping them achieve their personal goals and enhance their quality of life. This role requires a commitment to fostering independence and dignity while ensuring the safety and well-being of those in your care. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and grooming. Implement and follow individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs. Provide support for individuals with diverse needs, including autism, dementia, and other disabilities. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health or behavior. Facilitate social interactions and community involvement to promote social skills and inclusion. Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and progress towards goals. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to ensure comprehensive care. Ensure a safe living environment by adhering to health and safety standards. Requirement Experience in long-term care or home community care is preferred. Knowledge of working with individuals with disabilities, including autism and dementia. Familiarity with care plans and medication administration protocols. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, families, and team members. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A background in nursing or social work is a plus but not mandatory. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
