Job Description

Work First is seeking kind, compassionate individuals to support adults with intellectual disabilities as they explore their interests and engage fully in their communities. This role focuses on helping people build meaningful connections through community activities, volunteer opportunities, fitness programs, job exploration, and other inclusive experiences. We're looking for energetic, motivated people ready to step into the role of Direct Support Professional (DSP) and champion community inclusion. If you're eager to make a real impact and are excited about meaningful work, this opportunity is for you. As a DSP, you'll empower individuals to pursue their goals, develop independence, and live their best lives. While previous experience in disability services is helpful, what matters most is your enthusiasm, reliability, and willingness to learn. If you're driven to make a difference, we'd love to meet you. What a Typical Day Looks Like In this role, you will have the opportunity to support individuals and collaborate with your team.
Your day may include:
Providing assistance, supervision and support in community settings to promote integrated participation, volunteerism, competitive employment, connections, or other meaningful activities. Supporting outreach, scheduling, and follow‑through to help individuals fully engage in community activities and interact with others. Helping individuals build and maintain positive, reciprocal relationships within their community. Supporting friendships—whether with people who do or do not receive services—by helping facilitate shared activities and encouraging interdependence. Providing on‑site support in employment settings while helping foster strong relationships with coworkers and supervisors. Who You Are You enjoy working with others and being a positive influence. You are at least 18 years old. You hold a high school diploma or GED. You have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record. You exercise good judgment and can build strong, respectful relationships. You are reliable, empathetic, and committed to meeting your scheduling obligations.
