Job Description

Heart Haven Care is looking for compassionate, reliable, and professional Personal Care Assistants / Caregivers to provide in-home support to clients who need help with daily living activities. The ideal candidate must be patient, respectful, dependable, and comfortable assisting clients with personal care and mobility needs. Some clients may have limited strength or mobility, so the caregiver must be able to safely assist with transfers and lifting when needed. Responsibilities Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene. Help with toileting and incontinence care when required. Assist with transfers, walking, positioning, and mobility support. Provide companionship and emotional support. Help with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation. Remind clients to take medications as instructed. Monitor client condition and report any changes or concerns. Follow the care plan and company policies. Maintain client dignity, privacy, and safety at all times. Physical Requirements Must be able to assist clients with standing, walking, and transfers. Must be able to lift, push, pull, or support clients as needed. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs . Must be able to bend, reach, stand, and walk for extended periods. Must use safe body mechanics and follow transfer-safety procedures. Qualifications Prior caregiving, PCA, CNA, DSP, or home care experience preferred. Active PSS certification preferred, or must be willing and able to obtain PSS certification before or shortly after hire. Must be dependable and punctual. Must be kind, patient, and respectful. Must be able to follow instructions and care plans. Must have reliable transportation. Must pass background check and required screening. CPR/First Aid certification preferred but not required. Schedule Day shifts, evening shifts, overnight shifts, and weekend shifts may be available. Flexible scheduling available based on client needs.
Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
