Job Description

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals with disabilities in a group home setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalized care and assistance. This role involves working closely with individuals to ensure their daily needs are met, promoting independence while ensuring safety and comfort. Responsibilities Provide direct support and personal care to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Monitor patients' health and well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences, ensuring proper meal planning and cooking. Assist clients with mobility and physical activities, including lifting and transferring when necessary. Engage clients in social and recreational activities to promote emotional well-being and community involvement. Maintain a clean and safe environment within the group home, adhering to health and safety regulations. Document care provided, including any changes in condition or behavior, in accordance with company policies. Qualifications Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable. Knowledge of first aid procedures is a plus. Strong skills in meal preparation and cooking for various dietary needs. Ability to lift clients safely and assist with mobility as required. Previous experience in patient monitoring and long-term care settings is preferred. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
