Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant to provide exceptional support to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities and personal care. This vital role involves fostering independence, ensuring safety, and enhancing quality of life for clients across various care settings. The ideal candidate will bring energy, empathy, and a proactive approach to caregiving, making a meaningful difference in the lives of those they serve. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to ensure health stability Support clients with medication management and administration following prescribed protocols Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and social engagement Operate standard passenger vehicles safely for client transportation to appointments or community activities Follow safe patient lifting practices using manual handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and overall sanitation Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly desirable Proven background in dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, or geriatrics enhances your ability to support clients with cognitive disabilities Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized support is preferred Knowledge of EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for documentation and client communication is advantageous Demonstrated ability to perform first aid and CPR effectively in emergency situations Long-term care experience that involves client advocacy, behavior management, and social work principles is valued Familiarity with safe patient lifting practices, medication administration procedures, and group home operations will set you apart Join us in delivering compassionate care that empowers individuals to live comfortably and confidently.
