Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Help Aide to provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes and community settings. This energetic role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those needing assistance with daily activities, health monitoring, and emotional support. The ideal candidate will be proactive, attentive, and committed to delivering high-quality care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Provide patient observation to monitor health status, mental state, and safety, ensuring adherence to care plans and reporting any concerns promptly Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with cooking tasks in accordance with health guidelines Support medication administration following HIPAA regulations and care plan instructions, ensuring proper documentation and safety protocols are maintained Conduct light cleaning and household chores to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for clients Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; observe for signs of dementia or other health changes Engage in patient care activities including assisting with mobility, transfers, and supporting residents with developmental disabilities or autism in group home or assisted living settings Follow established procedures for hospice or memory care patients, ensuring comfort and dignity at all times Use proper techniques for heavy lifting and equipment operation like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to prevent injury Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments preferred Group home experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism highly valued Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care strategies, and hospice support is a plus Demonstrated ability to work with patients requiring direct support for complex needs including medication management and vital sign monitoring Experience in long-term care settings emphasizing patient safety, social work principles, and personalized care planning is advantageous Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional certifications such as HIPAA compliance or nursing assistant credentials are beneficial Ability to lift heavy loads safely and operate mobility aids effectively while maintaining patient dignity Join us in providing compassionate home care that empowers individuals to live healthier, happier lives. Pay:
$16.00 - $19.00 per hour
