Under the supervision of licensed staff, the PCA ensures residents' dignity, safety, and comfort while promoting independence as much as possible. In addition to direct care, the PCA may assist with light housekeeping, companionship, meal service, and occasional support during recreational activities or transportation to appointments. This position is essential in helping residents maintain their quality of life in a respectful, home-like environment. Responsibilities Provide direct care assistance with ADLs including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, and eating. Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, observations, and resident interactions per facility procedures. Monitor and report changes in residents' health, behavior, or needs to the nurse or supervisor in a timely manner. Assist with medication reminders and documentation (if delegated and trained, per facility policy). Provide companionship and emotional support Assist with light housekeeping and meal service Qualifications Compassionate, dependable, and patient-centered attitude PCA, CNA, or HHA certification preferred but not required - we will train the right candidate CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire) required. Must be 18 years or older Ability to lift 25 lbs and perform physical caregiving tasks Must pass a background check and health screening Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on resident needs. Excellent communication and teamwork skills; able to work independently and follow care plans accurately. Why Work with Allwell Homes?
