Job Summary:
As a Direct Support Professional you will help people with disabilities have fun, develop their skills and gain independence in classroom and community-based settings. You may be cross trained to cover other DSP responsibilities during absences. The Day Service locations you will work at can vary on a daily/weekly basis in Minnetonka . We are seeking someone who is agile, flexible and a collaborator. Scheduling will be coordinated with the Day Service management team on an ongoing basis.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7:30AM to 3:30
PM Wage:
$20.00 per hour How will you make a difference? As part of team and the setting that you are working in, you will help our people with disabilities in the following areas: Support individuals with daily routines Plan and deliver creative activities Support skill-building in workplace tasks, teamwork, and social interactions Promote independence and well-being of each person Collaborate with co-workers to plan community-based activities to places such as libraries, gardens, parks, bowling alleys, Feed My Starving Children and more. Complete daily documentation related to services, progress, and support needs What will you bring to Opportunity Partners? A desire to make a difference in the lives of our people with disabilities! One year of experience in human services.
