Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team for a 34-hour workweek ( Monday and Tuesday 7:30am to 12:30pm, Friday 1:30pm to 9:30pm and Saturday 7:30am to 9:30pm. This schedule is flexible, and shifts may be switched with other caregivers as needed ) In this vital role, you will provide personalized support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Your positive attitude and proactive approach will help enhance the quality of life for those you serve, fostering independence and dignity every day. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents while working in a supportive and dynamic environment. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts safely to transfer residents with mobility challenges Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties including cleaning resident areas and ensuring infection control standards are met Skills Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments Knowledge of long-term care practices, senior care, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities Ability to perform first aid procedures confidently and respond effectively in emergency situations Excellent caregiving skills with a focus on compassionate support and resident dignity Capable of managing behavior issues through positive support strategies and social work principles Physical ability to assist with transfers using Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids; comfortable with cleaning tasks to maintain hygiene standards Join us in providing exceptional personal care that empowers individuals to live their best lives. $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
