Role:
Family Partners of Minnesota is looking for a compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our overnight team in Rochester, MN. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing caring, person-centered support through the night. Responsibilities:
Provide overnight supervision and direct care support to individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities Assist residents with personal care needs including hygiene, mobility, and medication administration as needed Monitor the safety and well-being of individuals throughout the overnight shift Document and maintain accurate shift notes, incident reports, and daily logs Respond calmly and effectively to behavioral or medical situations following established care plans Support individuals in maintaining a comfortable, safe, and dignified living environment Communicate effectively with incoming day staff during shift transitions
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required Previous experience in direct support, caregiving, or human services preferred Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout overnight shifts Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred Must pass a background study as required by Minnesota DHS Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills Compassionate, patient, and committed to person-centered care
