We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and responsible Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide care and support to children receiving services in a 245D-licensed children's respite foster home . This position provides an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children by creating a safe, supportive, structured, and positive home environment while they are receiving respite services. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, is patient and understanding, communicates well, and can maintain appropriate professional boundaries while providing quality care. Responsibilities Provide direct care, supervision, and support to children in the home. Maintain a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment. Follow each child's individual service plan, support plan, and program procedures. Assist children with daily living activities as appropriate to their age and needs. Provide appropriate supervision and support during activities, meals, outings, recreation, and bedtime routines. Encourage positive behaviors, social skills, independence, and appropriate communication. Use approved positive behavior-support strategies and follow individual behavior support plans. Monitor children for changes in behavior, mood, health, or overall well-being and communicate concerns appropriately. Complete required documentation, progress notes, incident reports, medication documentation, and other required records accurately and timely. Follow all medication administration procedures and training requirements when applicable. Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families, and program information. Follow mandated reporting requirements and agency policies regarding suspected maltreatment, abuse, or neglect. Maintain professional boundaries with children, families, coworkers, and other professionals. Participate in required staff meetings, training, orientation, and refresher training. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe living environment. Follow emergency, health and safety, infection-control, and crisis procedures. Work cooperatively with supervisors and other staff to provide consistent care. Transport or accompany children to approved activities or appointments when authorized and required. Perform other duties related to the care and support of children receiving respite services. Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older . Must have a valid driver's license Must be able to successfully complete required state and federal background studies . Must be able to complete required 245D orientation and ongoing training. Previous experience working with children, foster care, disability services, mental health, behavioral support, or human services is preferred but not required. Must demonstrate good judgment, patience, reliability, and professionalism. Must be able to communicate effectively with children, families, coworkers, and supervisors. Must be physically and emotionally capable of performing the essential duties of the position. Pay:

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 - 32.0 per week
