Job Description

About:
Lyngblomsten, an Assisted Living and Independent Living facility located in Saint Paul near Como Park, is in search of Home Health Aides! This is a part time position, scheduled 44 hours per 2 weeks. This will be a PM shift, scheduled 4:30pm - 10:15pm. The posted pay range of this position is $17.75 to $22.62. The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.
Responsibilities:
Communicating with care and concern toward the resident as an individual of dignity worthy of respect ‑ seeks to spend social time with residents assigned to his/her care. Reports verbal or physical abuse of a resident to the Nurse Manager/team leader or Director of Nursing immediately. Observation of resident's condition and communicating changes to nurse. Bathing, oral hygiene, dressing, feeding, walking and other appropriate rehabilitation measures as assigned. Vital signs, catheter care, appropriate application and use of safety devices. Attending to various resident needs, ie: toileting, preventive skin care, maintaining nutrition and hydration. Responds to residents call lights promptly. Participates in resident care conferences as requested, follows care plans when caring for residents. Documents care as assigned. Furthers own knowledge and skill by attending staff meetings and in-service presentations. Other duties within scope of training as assigned by team leader. Meets standards for NA/R performance.
Qualifications :
Demonstrates an ability and sincere desire to work with the geriatric resident by showing a sense of responsibility, moral integrity and common sense. Must be able to understand and follow oral and/or written directions. Individual must be at least 18 years of age.
