Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a Personal Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional support and care to individuals in various care settings. In this vital role, you will assist clients with daily activities, monitor their health and well-being, and create a safe, comfortable environment that promotes independence and dignity. Preffered:
Valid driver's license Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary Operate patient transfer equipment and ensure safe manual handling techniques during patient transfers Maintain cleanliness of client living spaces through regular cleaning and sanitation practices Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or community outings Document patient observations, care provided, and any incidents accurately in compliance with healthcare standards Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia or Alzheimer's care, using specialized techniques Assist with mobility exercises and physical therapy routines as prescribed by healthcare professionals Follow all safety protocols including first aid, CPR, and emergency procedures to ensure client safety at all times Experience Preferred candidates should bring prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments. Experience working with older adults is highly valued. Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, patient monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer's care is essential. Previous roles involving patient personal care assistance, resident support in geriatrics or hospice settings, and experience using patient transfer methods will strengthen your application. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, manual handling techniques, heavy lifting capabilities, and familiarity with home & community care practices are important. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred to ensure readiness for emergency situations. Any other certifications (CNA/PCA) are also preferred. $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
