Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated PCA / Homemaker to provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes or community settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients through attentive caregiving, personal assistance, and household management. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those requiring assistance with daily activities, health monitoring, and emotional support. The position is paid and requires a proactive, respectful approach to caregiving. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor and document patient condition and behavioral changes to ensure safety and well-being. Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and care plans, ensuring proper food handling and safety standards. Support medication administration under supervision or as directed by healthcare professionals, maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing to maintain a safe and comfortable environment. Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to safely transfer clients with mobility challenges. Provide companionship and emotional support while fostering independence and dignity for clients. Follow established care plans, coordinate with healthcare providers, and participate in ongoing training related to patient care standards. Skills Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of client information. Ability to operate assistive devices like wheelchairs. Excellent communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is highly valued.
