Job Description

JOB COACHING
in the community
  • Provide job support for one or two persons with physical/intellectual disabilities in a community setting. These settings may include, but are not limited to: office/business cleaning, shredding paper, assembly, etc.
  • Ensure that persons are trained to perform job duties as specified by employer.
  • Support persons to accomplish job duties as specified by employer.
  • Be a positive role model at the worksite, model appropriate methods of work and social interaction.
  • Collect all data requested by Murray County DAC and Dept. of Human Services. (DHS).
  • Complete any other forms requested by the DAC and DHS.
  • Complete yearly training as outlined by DAC and DHS. Work closely with agency Supervisor and Coordinators to implement work programs.
  • Have a valid drivers license and are able to transport persons, if necessary.
Agency vans provided for transport.
DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL
When not working in the community you will be performing DSP duties in our Slayton building
  • Provide care and assistance to persons with physical and intellectual disabilities.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift, bend, twist, and push wheelchairs.
  • Duties include feeding, toileting, giving medications, and helping persons with work and leisure activities.
  • Work closely with agency Supervisor and Coordinators to implement in house programming.
  • Complete paperwork as specified by the DAC and DHS.
  • Complete yearly training as outlined by DAC and DHS.
  • Transport persons on activities in the community.
  • Transport persons to and from their homes and the DAC building using agency vehicles.
No experience necessary, we will train. Hours vary between 8:00-4:00 pm, Monday thorough Friday. Currently no evenings or weekends. Benefits include sick and vacation time, major holiday pay, and retirement plan available after waiting period.
