Essential Functions:
As a DSP, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with IDD as they work toward greater independence and meaningful engagement in their communities.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing job coaching and support to individuals with disabilities as they develop job-related skills. Supporting individuals in a variety of work settings. Plan and lead structured daily activities such as community involvement, volunteer opportunities, physical activities, life skills, and advocacy. Promoting independence and skill-building in a respectful, encouraging, and empowering manner. Advocating for each individual's rights, choices, and overall well-being. Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required with work experience, prefer 4 year degree from accredited college. Must have a current valid driver's license and be willing to obtain a Class E (Chauffeur's) license immediately upon hire. Requires a dependable personal vehicle with valid insurance coverage. Ability to pass all appropriate and required background screenings. Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate the needs of our customers. Must be a caring and patient individual with a passion for helping others. Ability to use technology to complete required documentation. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
