House Manager/Lead Staff

Specialized Support Services, Inc. is looking to strengthen its Macon operation by hiring a House Manager/Lead Staff to manage one of our two Individualized Supported Living (ISL) environments in Macon. The House Manager/Lead Staff will support the Director and Professional Manager in supervising the ISL and the Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who provide primary supports for our consumers in implementing their Person Centered Support Plans and Activities of Daily Living. The House Manager/Lead Staff will support consumers and DSPs by supervising DSPs as appropriate and ensure that the ISL runs efficiently by taking responsibility for community integration, meal planning, grocery shopping and paying consumer bills, among other important responsibilities. Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, or be currently pursuing high school equivalency, or be willing to complete coursework approved by Missouri's Department of Mental Health (the completion of which would meet the need for completion of a secondary-school leaving certificate); prior DSP experience; a good driving record, and car insurance; the ability to pass a state-mandated background check; and the desire to make a positive difference in people's lives by providing domestic, social, health, safety and emotional support. This role is for a set schedule, from 7 am to 3 pm Tuesday through Saturday. Additional shift availability is required, and weekend work mandatory.
