Job Location:
This position is with South County Habilitation Center, located at 2312 Lemay Ferry Road Saint Louis, MO. 63125. Why you'll love this position: This is entry-level direct care work involving the care and treatment of persons with developmental disabilities. This position will be performing basic work in health care, education, activity therapy, physical therapy, vocational rehabilitation and related areas. Work involves establishing effective interpersonal relationships with clients, co-workers, and other members of treatment unit and responsibility for observing, reporting, and maintaining documentation of physical, mental and behavioral condition of clients. SOME KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Introductory knowledge of basic treatment techniques used in nursing, physical therapy, activity therapy, education, vocational rehabilitation and related areas Ability to self-initiate responsible work performance and outcomes Ability to practice good interpersonal skills and use of hands-on skills (dependent care) Ability to work effectively on a team, and to work where needed to fill open spots Knowledge of behavior supports and ability to use approved techniques Good time and attendance record Ability to maintain a safe, clean and therapeutic environment for client care and treatment activities. Minimum Qualifications:
Be 18 years old or older Graduation from the basic training program instruction for Support Care Assistant provided by the Missouri Department of Mental Health.
