Job Summary As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities or special needs. You will work closely with clients to assist them in daily activities, promote independence, and ensure their safety and well-being. Duties Position requires Weekend and Evening availability Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Support clients with mobility and transportation needs. Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans. Monitor clients' health status and report any changes to the appropriate personnel. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients. Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life. Provide assistance with medication management as needed. Document daily activities and progress notes accurately. Experience Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and first aid practices is beneficial. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients are essential. A compassionate demeanor and a commitment to providing high-quality care are required.
