North Mississippi State Hospital (NMSH) is an acute care psychiatric facility offering treatment and services for mentally ill adult men and women in northeast Mississippi. The 50-bed hospital was opened in Tupelo in 1999. NMSH is a facility of the Mississippi Department of Mental Health.
About the position:
This position is located at North Mississippi State Hospital in Tupelo, Mississippi. It is Third-level Support Care position accountable for taking vital signs, assisting with care plan activities, observing and reporting patient conditions and behaviors, and participating in rehabilitation, ambulation, and transfers. May mentor or direct the work of lower-level employees. Communicates with doctors, patients, and families, and educates patients on care. May provide transport to offsite appointments and application of restraints when necessary. Qualifications Typically requires High School Diploma or high school equivalency 2-3 years of experience May require a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) designation.
