In this vital role, you will provide essential support in various healthcare settings, including long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, and home care environments. Your energy and commitment will help promote comfort, safety, and well-being for those in need of personalized assistance. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills while making a positive impact every day. Duties Assist patients and residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health management Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure patient safety during complex procedures involving equipment like Hoyer lifts or bed transfers; maintain patient comfort and dignity at all times. Support patients with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs through compassionate caregiving tailored to individual requirements. Experience Prior experience working in healthcare environments such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care is highly preferred. Familiarity with specialized care areas including geriatrics, pediatrics, ICU, emergency medicine, hospice care, or behavioral health enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive patient service. Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or those requiring memory or dementia care; experience in assisted living or long-term care environments is a plus. Strong understanding of infection control practices such as aseptic technique and working within homecare setting.
