Charlotte, NC Job Details Temporary | Part-time | Full-time | Contract $14.36 - $24.52 an hour 7 hours ago Qualifications Hoyer lift Caregiving Assisting with ADLs Home health Bathing assistance Full Job Description Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide patient observation and monitoring to ensure safety and well-being. Support meal preparation and cooking according to dietary needs and preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the living environment, including light housekeeping tasks. Administer medication as per care plans and assist with vital signs monitoring. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, including those for Alzheimer's, dementia, or developmental disabilities. Assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life. Qualifications Previous experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is preferred. Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality. Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism or developmental disabilities. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and family members. Ability to perform heavy lifting when required for patient mobility assistance. A compassionate attitude towards caregiving with a focus on patient-centered care. Willingness to undergo background checks as required by state regulations.
