Job Description

Direct Support Professional (DSP) A Caring Heart Case Management, Inc. A Caring Heart is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This role centers on providing daily care, building life skills, and encouraging independence within a safe, respectful, and supportive environment. Schedule Monday-Friday, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm with Some Weekends About the Role As a Direct Support Professional, you will assist individuals with daily living activities, personal care, and skill-building. Services are provided in the home, community, and day program settings. You will support growth in areas such as self-care, communication, social skills, household tasks, community inclusion, and self-regulation. Training is fully provided by A Caring Heart. What We're Looking For We are seeking dependable, motivated individuals with a strong work ethic and a passion for helping others. Candidates must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, state-minimum auto insurance, a safe driving record, and a high school diploma or equivalent minimum. All applicants must successfully pass background checks. The ideal candidate is confident working with individuals who may display aggressive or escalated behaviors, demonstrates patience and self-control, and can effectively use de-escalation strategies. Willingness to support clients with physical activity and muscle-building exercises is essential. Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is a plus but not required. About A Caring Heart Case Management, Inc.
