Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Residential Services (Part-Time)
Schedule:
3:00 PM - 11:00 PM 1 weekday per week Every other weekend requiredLocation:

A Caring Heart Case Management, Inc. Position Overview A Caring Heart Case Management, Inc. is seeking a highly dependable, compassionate, and professional Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct care services in a residential setting for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). This role is far more than supervision — it is mentorship, advocacy, and hands-on support. As a DSP, you will play a critical role in maintaining the health, safety, dignity, and personal growth of the individuals we serve. You will help create a structured, stable home environment where residents can develop independence, strengthen life skills, and experience meaningful community inclusion. This is a position for someone who understands that consistency, patience, and accountability truly change lives. Core ResponsibilitiesPersonal Care & Daily Living Support Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, hygiene, and meal preparation Provide hands-on assistance while promoting as much independence as possible Maintain a clean, organized, and safe residential environment Medication Administration Administer medications according to physician orders and state guidelines Accurately document medication administration and daily progress notes Monitor and report health or behavioral changes immediately Skill Development & Behavioral Support Teach and reinforce life skills including communication, social interaction, budgeting, household management, and community engagement Implement individualized support plans Confidently manage challenging or escalated behaviors using approved de-escalation strategies Maintain professionalism, emotional control, and sound judgment during high-stress situations Documentation & Compliance Complete required documentation thoroughly and on time Follow agency policies, state regulations, and ethical standards Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and families What We're Looking For We are seeking individuals who are: Emotionally mature and dependable Confident in managing challenging behaviors Physically able to assist with mobility and activity support Organized and attentive to detail Committed to maintaining consistency in a residential setting Requirements Valid driver's license Reliable transportation State-minimum auto insurance Safe driving record Ability to pass all background screenings Preferred (Not Required) Experience working with individuals with IDD Previous residential care experience Medication administration experience Training is provided; however, professionalism, accountability, and strong work ethic are non-negotiable.
