Duties Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, mental status, and overall condition; report changes to healthcare professionals promptly Support medication administration following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces Use manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and organizational policies Skills Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or aging populations such as geriatrics or dementia care Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in condition or behavior promptly Knowledge of medication administration, vital signs measurement, CPR, first aid, and emergency response procedures Ability to assist with ADLs efficiently while maintaining dignity and respect for residents' preferences Experience working in group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health environments is highly desirable Familiarity with care plans, HIPAA compliance, manual handling techniques including heavy lifting and the use of assistive devices like Hoyer lifts Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with healthcare teams, residents' families, and other caregivers Embark on a rewarding career where your compassion fuels positive change!
