Job Description
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age Job Overview We are seeking dedicated individuals who have experience working with the autistic population to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. Duties
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with resident observation and reporting any changes in condition
- Support individuals in a group home setting
- Help individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving their personal goals
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for the individuals under your care Requirements Must be a minimum of 18 years old Have a High School Diploma or Equivalent Possess a valid driver's license Experience or working with people with developmental disabilities is preferred Knowledge of ICF/IID standards and regulations is helpful but not required Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals such as nurses Strong communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate and person-centered approach to care Ability to handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism
