Direct Support Professional (DSP) A Caring Heart Case Management, Inc. - Newport & Jacksonville, NC About A Caring Heart Case Management, Inc. Position Overview We are currently seeking a dependable and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals in the Newport area and assist with participation in our day program in Jacksonville. This position plays a critical role in helping individuals build independence, participate in their community, and reach personal goals. The ideal candidate is reliable, patient, and committed to providing consistent, high-quality support. Schedule Monday - Friday 8:30am-4:30pm Consistent weekday schedule Key Responsibilities Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal care, mobility, and meal preparation Promote independence and skill-building in home and community settings Support participation in structured day programming Provide safe and reliable transportation between Newport and Jacksonville Monitor and respond appropriately to health needs, including seizure support if needed Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with individualized care plans
Education & Experience Required:
High School Diploma or GED Valid driver's license Minimum of 3 years unsupervised driving experience Ability to pass a background check
Preferred:
Previous DSP experience Seizure experience Experience assisting with ADLs Comprehensive training is provided. Transportation Details This role requires transporting consumers. Transportation between Newport and Jacksonville will be provided for the first few months. After that time, the employee will be responsible for transportation between Newport and Jacksonville.
