Personal Care Assistant (Weekends Rotating) 8am-4:30pm

Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants to provide high-quality support to individuals in various care settings, including home, community, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for clients by assisting with daily activities and ensuring their safety and well-being. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, and other health conditions. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and observe patients' health status, including vital signs and overall condition Administer medication and follow care plans as prescribed by healthcare professionals Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning in accordance with dietary requirements Support patients with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care strategies Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and ensure safe transfer techniques Maintain a clean and safe environment through light cleaning and sanitation tasks Document patient observations accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and safety Requirements Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice care preferred Knowledge of patient observation, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Certifications such as First Aid and CPR are highly desirable Experience working with people with disabilities, developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for resident transfers or mobility assistance Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality Strong communication skills and compassionate approach to caregiving Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various care environments Valid driver's license may be required for certain positions involving community visits or home care services This role is vital in supporting individuals' independence while ensuring their safety and comfort.
