Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Monday-Friday, 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM or 9:00 am - 3:00 pm during
School Breaks Position Overview:
A Caring Heart Case Management is seeking a dedicated and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team. This role provides direct support, supervision, and care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a structured, person-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct care, supervision, and behavioral support in a residential respite setting Assist individuals with daily living activities, including hygiene, meals, mobility, and engagement Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment at all times Implement individualized care plans with consistency and professionalism Accurately document services, observations, and incidents as required Uphold agency policies, procedures, and all applicable state regulations
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required Valid driver's license with a minimum of 3 years driving experience Reliable transportation with current insurance, registration, and inspection Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Strong commitment to person-centered care and supporting individuals with
IDD Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in direct care, caregiving, or human services Strong reliability, professionalism, and ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred but not required)
Additional Information:
All applicants are subject to background checks Required training will be provided by A Caring Heart Case Management During breaks in the school year (Christmas, Spring, and Summer vacation) hours would be from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.

These tasks may include but are not limited to: Personal Care, Mobility Support, Meal Preparation & Feeding, Toileting & Continence Care, and/or Household Tasks. Would you be comfortable performing these essential duties as part of your role? Are you able to physically push, pull, or lift 25 pounds, unassisted, on a regular basis and up to 100 pounds unassisted occasionally? To help ensure a faster hiring process, are you able to provide the following documentation if requested during the application process: a valid driver's license, Social Security card, current vehicle registration, proof of automotive insurance, and records of your education (minimum high school diploma or equivalent)?
