Wilson, NC Pay Rate:
$20.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday
  • Friday, 4:00 pm
  • 11:59 pm OR 12:00 am
  • 8:00 am About the Role A Caring Heart Case Management is hiring Supported Living Staff (Direct Support Professionals) to provide 24-hour care and support for a high-functioning individuals in a supported living setting in Wilson, NC.
Staff will work one-on-one with the individuals to promote independence, assist with daily living skills, and provide behavioral support through redirection and positive engagement. This role is ideal for caring professionals who value consistency, patience, and teamwork. ALL schedules will be discussed during interviews. Applicants that have provided documentation first will be given priority selection of shifts. Key Responsibilities Provide direct care and companionship in a home-based setting Support with daily living activities (meals, hygiene, home care, appointments) Encourage independence and participation in community and recreational activities Redirect and de-escalate behaviors using approved strategies and positive reinforcement Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment Complete required documentation accurately and on time Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding care and progress Uphold A Caring Heart's mission to deliver person-centered, compassionate support Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (required) Valid driver's license with at least 3 years of driving experience (required) Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) (preferred) Behavior management experience strongly preferred Ability to maintain composure, structure, and professionalism in challenging situations Must be dependable, patient, and dedicated to promoting client independence Why Join A Caring Heart? Please describe your experience working with individuals that are in the IDD populations. Please include organizations that you worked for, volunteered for, and/or personal experience that you have. Are you comfortable assisting individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) after receiving training? These tasks may include but are not limited to: Personal Care, Mobility Support, Meal Preparation & Feeding, Toileting & Continence Care, and/or Household Tasks. Would you be comfortable performing these essential duties as part of your role? To help ensure a faster hiring process, are you able to provide the following documentation if requested during the application process: a valid driver's license, Social Security card, current vehicle registration, proof of automotive insurance, and records of your education (minimum high school diploma or equivalent)?
