Job Description
Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Bath Aide to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing personal care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your caregiving skills directly impact the quality of life for individuals with diverse needs, including those requiring memory care, long-term care, or specialized health services. The Bath Aide will collaborate closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient-centered care. Responsibilities Assist residents with bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, and skin care to promote cleanliness and comfort. Support patients with mobility needs, including safe transfer techniques using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling practices. Monitor and record vital signs and other health indicators accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Follow infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. Assist with toileting, catheter care, and other personal hygiene tasks while respecting residents' privacy and dignity. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation in medical records. Collaborate with nursing staff to identify individual needs related to dementia care, Alzheimer's support, or behavioral health conditions. Maintain a clean, safe environment by adhering to sanitation standards and safety procedures at all times. Requirements Prior experience working as a Bath Aide or in a caregiving role within long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, hospitals, or home care settings. Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and basic anatomy relevant to patient care. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/Epic systems) and medical documentation practices. Certification in basic life support (BLS) or CPR is required Certification Nursing Assistant (CNA) is required Experience working with geriatric patients or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and demonstrate proper manual handling techniques. Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and a respectful approach to patient service.
