Hands of Heartland is looking for compassionate and caring individuals to work with the people we support as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) . We are hiring for residential DSP positions in the West Point area ! $500 HIRING BONUS!

What You'll Do:

Work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities in a variety of settings to ensure they have a meaningful life. As a DSP you will assist individuals with day to day living activities and developing skills in a home environment and in community settings.

Key Responsibilities for DSP position:

Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as hygiene, dressing, mobility, and meal preparation, based on the individual's level of need. Support the individual in developing and maintaining skills, which could include money management, household chores, self-advocacy, and communication. Based on individual's needs, goals, and support plan. Implement goals and objectives from the individual's person-centered support plan and document progress as required. Monitor and promote the individual's health and well-being while following safety protocols. Ensure individuals are treated with dignity and respect at all times. Encourage social interaction and community inclusion through meaningful activities and relationship building. This position requires you to transport individuals in a motor vehicle.

Shift Hours and Need:

Full or part time hours available with every other weekend required. Hours will be 3p-11p and 11p-7a Monday through Friday with every other weekend required. Requirements:

Must be 18 years old. Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance. Must be able to pass all background checks. Experience not required.

Pay:

$500 hiring bonus! First half paid out after first 30 days and second half paid out after 60 days of employment. $19.50 per hour is starting pay. We pay more for experience and if you have a CNA license. Incentives also available. NEW!
