Job Description

Part-time, flexible days, 10 hours per week, shifts to align with afternoon evening YMCA open swim times We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and reliable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support a vibrant young woman. This position is perfect for someone looking to make a meaningful, one-on-one impact while helping the individual engage in her favorite community activities. The individual lives in Bennington. She is a social individual who thrives when participating in community activities alongside familiar faces. Some of her absolute favorite things include swimming, riding her tricycle, going for car rides, and spending time outside when the weather is warm. When she is relaxing at home, she loves using her iPad to watch videos and listen to music.
Key Responsibilities Community Integration:
Transportation to community activities, with a primary focus on attending open swim sessions at the YMCA in Keene.
Communication Support:
Actively encourage and assist in using her specialized communication device while out in public.
Personal Care:
Comfortably and respectfully assist with personal care needs, including changing in and out of her bathing suit in the locker room.
Engagement:
Provide companionship and support during preferred activities like tricycle riding, car rides, and enjoying warm weather. Qualifications Must be able to provide personal care and assistance in a changing room. Comfortable providing hands-on personal care with dignity and respect. Patient, engaging, and enthusiastic about supporting alternative communication methods. Reliable transportation to commute between Bennington and activities in Keene.
