Are you a compassionate individual looking for a rewarding career where you can make a difference in the lives of others? We are seeking full-time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team at our beautiful and fully equipped Day Program in South Dennis. As a DSP, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with daily activities, providing emotional support, and helping them achieve their goals for independence and quality of life.
Duties:
Provide person-centered supports that respect the rights and choices of each individual Assist with activities at the day program, and on community outings Assist with daily personal care and hygiene needs Support individuals with day program activities Administer medications as per physician's orders Assist with mobility and lifting when necessarySkills:
The ideal candidates for this position should possess: Experience in medication administration Ability to work with people with autism and developmental disabilities Knowledge of home and community care practices Background in social work or related fields Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lift and drive as needed Proficiency in meal preparation Joining our team as a DSP offers: Competitive pay starting at $21.00 per hour after completion of a week of orientation and training at $16.07 per hour Monday through Friday schedule, 8am to 4pm each day If you are passionate about providing quality care to individuals in need and are ready to embark on a fulfilling career journey, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding Direct Support Professional position. Here's a brief summary of the benefits offered: Health, dental, and vision benefits are available on the first day of the month after 60 days of full-time employment. Employer paid group term life insurance is available to you after five months of full-time employment. You can enroll in the Principal Retirement Plan immediately, and be eligible for up to 3% matching contributions after a year of employment. We offer personal time-off, vacation time, and sick time.
