A Home Health Aide helps individuals who are disabled, elderly, or chronically ill with daily tasks, such as dressing, washing, and light housekeeping. Community Care Partners is seeking a compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to an adult participant in Belford, NJ 07718.
THURSDAYS 9 AM TO 3 PM
As a DSP, you will provide hands-on assistance and community-based support while promoting independence, community engagement, and quality of life. Services are delivered in accordance with the participant's individualized service plan. We are looking for a reliable, English-speaking DSP who enjoys helping others and making a positive impact in the lives of individuals with support needs. Case Specifics:
As a DSP, provide community-based support to assist the participant with engaging in activities outside the home. Accompany the participant on community outings, recreational activities, and social opportunities. Encourage independence, confidence, and active participation while supporting the participant's personal interests and goals. Provide transportation and assistance as needed to help the participant access community resources and activities.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Accompanying the participant on community outings and activities. Providing transportation and community-based support. Supporting participation in recreational, social, and community activities. Encouraging independence and active involvement in daily routines and experiences. Assisting the participant in pursuing hobbies, interests, and meaningful social opportunities. Promoting dignity, respect, inclusion, and positive community engagement. Maintaining the professional, respectful, and supportive environment expected of a DSP.
Physical Requirements:
Must be capable of reaching, bending, lifting, and performing light physical tasks as needed.
Experience, License, and Certification Requirements:
Valid New Jersey Driver's License required. Reliable transportation and proof of automobile insurance required. Must be 21 years of age or older. Must clear all required State/Federal criminal background checks, the Central Registry, and the CARI database. CPR/First Aid certification preferred. Applicants may apply without certification but must obtain it before starting services. Must be proficient in English (reading, writing, and comprehension).
