Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)

Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by assisting them with daily activities and personal care. This position requires a nurturing attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while following care plans. Duties Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, particularly those with dementia or memory-related conditions. Administer medication as prescribed and ensure adherence to medication schedules. Assist with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and cooking nutritious meals. Support clients in engaging with their community through social activities and outings. Lift and transfer clients safely as needed, ensuring their comfort and dignity. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behavior to supervisors. Requirements Previous experience in home community care or memory care is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of dementia care practices is a plus. Ability to lift clients safely and assist with mobility as required. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on empathy and patience. Basic cooking skills to prepare healthy meals for clients. Must be reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Certification in CPR/First Aid is advantageous but not required at the time of hire; training may be provided.
