Full-Time / Part-Time/Per-Diem About ArcMorris ArcMorris is a nonprofit organization providing essential services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) throughout Morris County, NJ. For over 70 years, we've offered programs in Day Habilitation, Residential, Respite, and Recreational Services , empowering individuals to live independently and fully participate in their communities. Position Overview As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) , you'll provide hands-on care and guidance to individuals with I/DD. You'll assist with daily living skills, promote independence, and support personal growth. This role is ideal for anyone pursuing a career in nursing, social work, psychology, special education, or human services. Direct Support Professional (DSP)Key Responsibilities:
Support individuals with daily living skills such as cooking, laundry, personal care, and light housekeeping. Assist residents with appointments, community activities, and social engagement. Collaborate with House Managers and other DSPs to maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment. Encourage independence, self-help skills, and dignity in all aspects of care. Participate actively in program activities and recreational outings. Maintain professionalism, respect, and compassion in every interaction. Serve as a role model through empathy, patience, and dedication. Direct Support Professional (DSP)Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid NJ Driver's License . 1 year of direct support or related experience (preferred).
