Job Description

Available shifts: Sunday, Monday & Friday 9 am
  • 5pm Monday & Friday 5pm
  • 9am
Duties:
  • Provide direct care and support to a male client with intellectual and developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
  • Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging or aggressive behaviors
  • Support individual in developing and maintaining social skills and relationships
  • Ensure the rights and dignity of individuals are respected and upheld
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in a related field is a plus
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges
  • Ability to confidently deescalate aggression both verbally and physically, ability to push, pull or lift over 100lbs comfortably
  • Must have knowledge of autism spectrum disorder and be comfortable with applying behavior support and crisis management (managing aggression/self-injury, elopement)
  • Ability to drive and possess a valid driver's license
  • First aid and CPR certification is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
