Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required; some college is a plus. Valid Driver's License with no more than 5 points required. No probationary license will be accepted. Ability to attend paid training at Mahwah, NJ 5 days for PT & 9 days for Full time Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. Fluent English reading, writing, speaking, computer skills necessary to record observations and monitor development. Willingness to assist people in achieving their greatest level of independent functioning in the areas of personal grooming and hygiene, budgeting, communication, and socialization. Ability to participate in 2 weekdays of NJS Mandated DDD initial trainings during normal business hours upon hire. NJS Drug testing is required. Tuberculosis testing is required.

Responsibilities Provide compassionate care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a group home setting. Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. Observe and document patient behavior and health status, reporting any changes to the appropriate staff. Maintain a clean and safe living environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Foster positive relationships with residents, promoting social interaction and community engagement. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
