Job Description
Kindly Direct Care is seeking an experienced Direct Support Professional for a higher-acuity one-to-one assignment in Willingboro, NJ. About This Opportunity This position requires a DSP with strong judgment, reliability, and relevant direct-care experience. The individual is 24 and has intense behaviors, can be verbally aggressive, and needs some assistance with ADLs. He is independent with feeding, dressing, and bathing, but needs staff to prompt him and to ensure his cleanliness. Another goal is to take him out engage him with community support. The assignment rate reflects the complexity and expectations of this specific case. Responsibilities May Include Provide close one-to-one supervision and safety monitoring. Provide ADL support as required. Follow individualized behavioral, medical, health, and safety protocols within DSP scope and training. Support communication, routines, community participation, and independence. Use approved support strategies consistently and calmly. Recognize and promptly report changes in health, behavior, functioning, or safety. Respond appropriately to urgent concerns and follow emergency procedures. Maintain accurate service documentation and dependable communication with the care team. Qualifications Prior experience in DSP, CNA, HHA, behavioral health, direct care, complex care, or a similar high-support role preferred. Strong reliability, judgment, communication, and ability to follow detailed protocols. Comfort with the specific support needs reviewed during screening. Ability to meet the physical requirements of the assignment. Ability to complete all required training and competency requirements before working independently.
