Urgently hiring — start within the next week. This is a great opportunity for a CHHA looking for steady weekday part-time hours with no weekends and no overnights — a predictable schedule that fits well around school, family, or a second commitment.

Shift Details Days:

Monday through

Friday Hours:

2:00 PM - 7:00 PM (5-hour shifts, 25 hours/week)

Pay:

$22/hour, weekly pay

Location:

Client home in the Metuchen / Clark area (Union/Middlesex County)

Start:

Within the next week Who We're Looking For We're seeking a patient, emotionally steady CHHA who is comfortable providing compassionate care for a client with a serious progressive illness. The ideal candidate brings warmth, calm, and presence to the home, in addition to strong clinical care skills. Experience supporting clients with chronic or progressive illness is strongly preferred. Hospice or palliative care experience is a plus, though not required.

Responsibilities Personal care:

bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting Light mobility and stability assistance as needed Meal preparation and light housekeeping Medication reminders Companionship and emotional support Observe and report changes in client condition Accurate documentation and clock-in/clock-out Requirements Active New Jersey CHHA certification (required) Reliable Monday-Friday availability, 2 PM - 7 PM Patient, compassionate, and emotionally steady Professional, dependable, and a strong communicator Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling and timekeeping Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred Prior experience with seriously ill or chronically ill clients preferred Why FirstLight Home Care $22/hour with weekly direct deposit Paid orientation and training specific to this case Premium holiday rates Paid sick time Mileage reimbursement where applicable Referral bonus opportunities Supportive local office team W-2 employer — caregivers are employees of our agency, not independent contractors We match caregivers thoughtfully to cases based on skill and fit.
