Job Description

•NOTE• This role is for a nice, friendly person. Experience with supporting individuals with behavioral challanges/ABA experience is a plus along with experience supporting a person that requires assistance with most basic of ADL skills (i.e. bathing, toileting, transferring from wheelchair to seat, etc.). Therefore, CNA experience is also a plus. Pay rate is $25.00/hr, but pay raises can be implemented based on performance and consistency.

AVAILABILITY NEEDED

Weekends, Monday-Friday before & after school, (Saturdays a must at least). Direct Support Professional (DSP) staff are an integral members of a team environment to best support individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities who choose to self direct their lives. Staff will implement the goals outlined in their plans that they choose to work out in order to enrich and better their lives. Each person's plan is driven by the individual's wants and needs. The self hired staff will be responsible for reading each plan to learn the individualized goals and assist the individual in implementing those goals. The self hired staff will assist each individual in reaching his/her maximum level of independence and power of potential by promoting a sense of self-worth, acceptance, achievement, citizenship, personal growth and personal choice. The self hired staff will possess a professional, patient (tolerant) understanding manner and work to maintain a calm, kind, caring and safe environment for the individuals we serve in their home and the community.
