Job Description
Job Overview Join our compassionate team as a Home Health Aide (HHA), where you will play a vital role in providing personalized, high-quality care to residents in assisted living facility. This position is directly helping residents with their everyday needs including assisting with bathing, personal hygiene, appointments, and/or other needs of the resident. Duties Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs; assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment. Communicate effectively with residents and their families to ensure clarity about care plans and address any concerns promptly. Follow all home health care assistance protocols while maintaining accurate medical documentation and adhering to assisted living standards. Qualifications Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental delays, or geriatric populations in assisted living or long-term care settings. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding, and stand throughout the shift Strong communication skills for effective client interaction; compassionate caregiving approach focused on patient personal care assistance. This position is a permanent position for: Wavecrest Assisted Living 242 Beach 20th street Far Rockaway, NY 11691 This is for a full time and/or part time position requiring availability for 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am and weekends. You must have your HHA certificate. A background check is required.
